The goal of GGC is to teach gymnastics in a comfortable atmosphere that is enjoyable and fun yet stresses the importance of progression and striving for excellence. We believe the benefits of our competitive program go beyond physical and competitive aspects. We believe it also teaches:
We feel that these aspects will transcend a gymnast's participation on the team and will become successful attributes they will use throughout their lifetime. Through a knowledgeable and caring staff, we work to the level of the individual and strive to bring out their potentials as a gymnast and a person. We do not pressure athletes into skills that the gymnast is not physically or mentally ready to perform.

I love the sport of gymnastics. Aside from my feeling that no other sport matches its aesthetic and artistic merits with the astonishing and sometimes mind-boggling athleticism quite the same as gymnastics. I also embrace the many other positive facets that gymnastics helps to develop in our young people. Having an environment that helps to nurture better high self-esteem, self-confidence, friendships and the importance of teamwork will always be main priorities for me as a coach and program director working with young people.
Outside of gymnastics, I love spending time with my wife of 28 years, Kelly, my son Kurtis and my daughter Kelcey (and her husband James).

Before I started coaching, I was a gymnast myself for 10 years at Grace and made it to level 9. I love gymnastics because it teaches young athletes the importance of hard work and dedication. Personally, it taught me confidence and resilience which helped later in life. Whenever I’m not in the gym I’m at the park or going on hikes.
Hi, I am Coach Linda. I joined this Lakewood YMCA when it opened in January of 1992. It was our second home as we raised our 4 daughters. Three of the four were very involved in Grace Gymnastics. Since they were always in the gym, I decided I may as well join them. I started out as a volunteer and have now been coaching for over 20 y

Since they were always in the gym, I decided I may as well join them. I started out as a volunteer and have now been coaching for over 20 years. I have coached from preschool up to Level 6 over the years and loved every step of the way. When I’m asked what I do at the Y, I say, I get to play with kids!! My goal has always been to change the world one child at a time!
